Thank you for your interest in Vinnie's Auto!   Vinnie's Auto was started in June of 2000. The real name was to be Vinz Auto after his son, Vincent Parker Embry, but someone or something, for some reason got the name wrong, so Donnie said, "Let's go with it!"   Owner Donnie Embry worked out of a one car garage, doing auto repair on various dealer's automobiles. Due to overwhelming work, he had to expand business. He rented property and opened a new shop on Garvin Street. A local bank called and needed his expertise on vehicle reconditioning and auto repair on repossessions. Donnie soon learned he needed to expand again. He then hired 3 employees to do detailing while Donnie handled the auto repairs.   Soon his expanded business was getting noticed and greedy businessmen bought his rental property out from under him. He soon realized his business was business and he had to move on. He closed and within a week he found a larger facility to accommodate his needs. He soon moved and reopened with more employees totaling 12 at times.   His business was finally taking off, doing over 100 cars a week. He started getting contacted by area dealerships and stopped doing auto repair, so the name was changed to Vinnie's Auto Detailing and Vinnie's Detail, which is now the largest independently owned detail shop in the tri-state. He also opened a second shop in Mt. Vernon IN. Express Detail at a local dealership, which is not open to the public.
